Good deeds grow communities. The ALTA Good Deeds Foundation supports the charitable efforts of title professionals as they work to build and strengthen their local communities and exemplify the title industry’s values of We Lead, We Deliver, We Protect.
Since 2017, the American Land Title Association (ALTA) has explored what makes the title industry special as well as a great opportunity for life-long careers. We talked with ALTA members about the common values that run through the fabric of all title companies. The ALTA Our Values initiative helped identify the industry’s true north stars of We Lead, We Deliver and We Protect. Building off that, we began the Tell Our Story campaign to publicly celebrate the diverse and wonderful stories of title professionals and the good they do in their communities.
ALTA members long have been active in their neighborhoods, not only protecting American homebuyers, but also supporting local charitable efforts. During the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, we saw title professionals across the United States stepping up to help their neighbors, customers and local communities. As we shared these efforts through the next step in our evolution, the #GoodDeeds campaign, it became clear that ALTA can be a force multiplier, amplifying our members’ efforts and their stories. Therefore, 2020 was a natural time to establish a new charitable foundation dedicated to empowering our industry members to help their communities.
The ALTA Good Deeds Foundation provides charitable grants to 501(c)(3) organizations supported by ALTA members. Grants are awarded to local organizations through a competitive application process completed by a title insurance professional, highlighting how the individual is furthering Our Values through charitable efforts.
